The pharmaceutical industry needs a high level of consistency in terms of quality of drugs and medicines they manufacture and continue to strive for honouring commitments to clients. Globally there have been concerted efforts to monitor quality and regulate pharma operations for quality health care being extended to the target population.

Towards this end, we at Lipak India are constantly evolving to newer heights by placing our focus on Products, Processes and People as central themes to guide our business philosophy. With Innovation being a value driver, our strategic planning started in early 2011 with an ideation session analysing Lipak India's current strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. We will be continuing our dialogue on strategic planning throughout the next several months, looking at financial health, research and development focus, management structure, operational efficiency, risk management, stakeholder communication, shareholder wealth creation and corporate social responsibility.

By the end of this process, we will be credited with a clear road map that will help us navigate smoothly through the challenges ahead.

Over the last decade many pharma organisations across India have started adopting various excellence initiatives. These initiatives are supposed to aid organisations in creating value and help face the challenging business needs. Let me hasten to add that Lipak India has seized this opportunity by adopting certain companywide initiatives such as management restructuring, venturing into newer business portfolios, enterprise resource planning, setting up HR governing council and adoption of operational excellence cell apart from culling out task force teams in quality and R&D with a view to provide the best pharma solutions to our esteemed clients
