ANTIBIOTICS & ANTIDIARRHOEALS

BESPOD TAB.100DT/200/DRY SYRUP

Stop infections before they spread

It is the third generation antibiotic. It is active against gram +ve and –ve bacteria. It has bactericidal action and inhibits the synthesis of bacterial cell wall.

INDICATIONS:

Typhoid Upper & lower RTI Skin and soft tissue infection Acute oitis media.

BESPOD-XL

Its mechanism of action is same as bespod tab. Bespod-xl also contains clavulanate, which is the irreversible inhibitor of betalactamase enzyme and enhances the activity of cefpodoxime.

BESPOD-DXL

It has bactericidal action and inhibits the synthesis of bacterial cell wall. And also contains Dicloxacillin, which is penicillin-like antibiotic used to treat certain infections caused by bacteria such as pneumonia and bone, ear, skin, and urinary tract infections. Antibiotics will not work for colds, flu, or other viral infections. It fights bacteria in your body.

INDICATIONS:

Typhoid

Upper & lower RTI

Skin and soft tissue infection

Acute oitis media.

ONELIP

The leading cephalosporin with β lactamases

Onelip belongs to the third generation cephalosporin antibiotic. It is a broad spectrum antibiotic with good activity against gram +ve and gram –ve bacteria.

INDICATIONS:

Pneumonia & bronchitis Gynae/ obstet infection Post surgical condition Urinary tract infection Bacteremia Septicemia Meningitis

ONELIP-XL

It is a combination medication and also contains tazobactum which increases the antimicrobial spectrum and clinical effectiveness of ceftriaxone against nosocominal and other pathogens.

INDICATIONS:

Pneumonia & bronchitis
Gynae/ obstet infection
Post surgical condition
Urinary tract infection
Bacteremia
Septicemia
Meningitis

MIKAB-500

Evict gram negative pathogens

It is used for short-term treatment of serious infections due to susceptible strains of Gram-negative bacteria, including Pseudomonas species, Escherichia coli, and species of indole-positive and indole-negative Proteus, Providencia species, Klebsiella-Enterobacter-Serratia species, and Acinetobacter (Mima-Herellea) species. Amino glycosides like Amikacin "irreversibly" bind to specific 30S-subunit proteins and 16S rRNA. Amikacin inhibits protein synthesis by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit to prevent the formation of an initiation complex with messenger RNA.

INDICATIONS:

Community acquired pneumonia

Hospital acquired pneumonia

Acute & chronic bronchitis

Skin & soft tissue infections

Urinary tract infections.

BACTLIP 200

Bactlip is used to treat pneumonia and bronchitis caused by Haemophilus influenzae and Streptococcus pneumonia. It acts on DNA gyrase and topoisomerase 4, enzyme which like human topoisomerase, prevents the excessive supercoiling of DNA during replication or transcription. By inhibiting their function, the drug therapy inhibits normal cell divison. INDICATION: For the treatment of infections (respiratory tract, kidney, skin, soft tissue, UTI), urethral and cervical gonorrhea.

BACTLIP-OZ

Its mechanism of action is same as bactlip-200. Bactlip-oz also contains ornidazole, which is a 5-nitroimidazole derivative active against protozoa and anaerobic bacteria. It is converted to reduction products that interact with DNA to cause destruction of helical DNA structure and strand leading to a protein synthesis inhibition and cell death in susceptible organisms.

INDICATION:

For the treatment of infections (respiratory tract, kidney, skin, soft tissue, UTI), urethral and cervical gonorrhea.

CEFOLIP-O

It is third generation cephalosporin with the longest half life period among all oral cephalosporins. It is also used to treat pneumonia and bronchitis caused by Haemophilus influenzae and Streptococcus pneumonia.

INDICATIONS:

Non gonococcal urethritis

Cervicitis

Mycobacterium avium complex

Acute oitis media

RTI's

ROXLIP-150

Roxithromycin is indicated for use in the treatment of mild to moderate infections of the ear, nose and throat, respiratory tract, in the skin and skin structure and genito-urinary tract caused by susceptible strains of organisms. It inhibits protein synthesis by irreversibly binding to the 50s ribosomal subunits thus blocking the transpeptidation or translocation reactions of susceptible organisms resulting in stunted cell growth.

INDICATIONS:

§ Pharyngitis, tonsillitis, sinusitis and otitis media, due to Group a beta-haemolytic Streptococci and Streptococcus pneumoniae. Pneumonia and acute bronchitis due to Streptococcus pneumoniae.

MOXLIP-400

Moxlip is used to treat certain infections such as pneumonia, bronchitis, and sinus, skin, and abdominal (stomach area) infections caused by bacteria. Moxifloxacin is in a class of antibiotics called fluoroquinolones. It works by killing the bacteria that cause infections. Antibiotics will not work against colds, flu, or other viral infections.

INDICATIONS:

• acute sinusitis

• acute exacerbation (worsening) of chronic bronchitis

• community-acquired pneumonia

• abdominal infections

• certain types of skin infection

XOLIP-600

It selectively inhibits bacterial protein synthesis through binding to sites on the bacterial ribosome and prevents the formation of a functional 70S-initiation complex, which is an essential component of the bacterial translation process. For streptococci, xolip was found to be bactericidal for the majority of strains. Linezolid is also a reversible, nonselective inhibitor of monoamine oxidase. Therefore, xolip has the potential for interaction with adrenergic and serotonergic agents.

INDICATIONS:

For the treatment of bacterial infections caused by susceptible strains of vancomycin resistant Enterococcus faecium, Staphylococcal aureus (methicillin resistant and susceptible strains), Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus pyogenes, and Streptococcus agalactiae.

LIPCLAV 1.2 INJ/ TAB.

It is an antibiotic in a group of drugs called penicillins and fights bacteria in the body. It is used to treat many different infections caused by bacteria, such as sinusitis, pneumonia, ear infections, bronchitis, urinary tract infections, and infections of the skin.

INDICATIONS:

It is effective against susceptible bacteria causing infections of the middle ear (otitis media), tonsillitis, throat infections (pharyngitis), laryngitis, bronchitis, sinusitis, and pneumonia.

LIFAS KIT

It is a triple combination drug. Fluconazole prevents growth of fungi by preventing production of the membranes that surround fungal cells. Azithromycin prevents bacteria from growing by interfering with their ability to make proteins. and Secondizole is an antiamoebic agent, prescribed for giardiasis and amoebiasis.

Indications:

• It is used for treating vaginal, oral, and esophageal fungal infections caused by Candida.

• bacteria causing otitis media (infection of the middle ear), tonsillitis, laryngitis, bronchitis, pneumonia, sinusitis, uncomplicated skin and skin structure infections.

GUTLIP CAP.

Streptococcus faecalis is a lactic acid bacteria and it can help reduce symptoms when a person is lactose intolerant. The products created with this bacteria are useful for clearing diarrhea and for stimulating the immune system.

Indication:

Antibiotic associated diarrhea

IBD/IBS

Diarrhoea due to lactose intolerance.
